One thing I like about the S6 edge is that it has the ir blaster feature. Do you think that the upcoming S7 will add it back in or abandon it?

Good question, I don't think it will be back its not on the edge+ or note 5

I'm thinking maybe I should wait until the S6 edge drops in price and get the 128 gb with the IR blaster. I think that's all I really need and it still works with my Gear S watch and my Gear VR.

Yeah definitely I bought the s6 edge 32gb and happy with it , I was looking at the s6edge+ but it didn't come with ir blaster so I stuck with regular edge

What can you do with the IR blaster? What is it used for?

Remote control for a TV, DVD, Home theater system, etc. You can also use it for a remote on fans, such as Lasko, that have remotes.

Remote control any of your devices that can use a remote to control them.
