IR sensor on the back camera stopped working. no red flickering visible.. help guys

It's been a week using edge plus and it's been awesome. However today I noticed a slight detoriation in camera quality. And then I noticed the IR sensor is not flickering red as it used to earlier.
I have recently upgraded software via OTA
But not sure if it happened after the upgrade.
Now focusing in low light is also not possible without flash. Please guide me if it's hardware issue or software , I mean is there a way to check the same

Sounds like a hardware issue; since it's only been a week I would return it.

Even it seems to me a hardware issue. I have given a factory data reset and it's same. Even in the service test menu there is no option to test the camera ir sensor.
Will take it to the service station .. let's see what they have to say.

Is heart rate ir sensor different from the camera ir sensor?
