IR transmitter?

My less than a year old LGG4 went into the bootloop, LG sent me a new one free, (well, likey refurbished but looks new). In the LGG4 forum, so many people have had replacements that did not last 3 months before it too went into the bootloop.

Funny how the LGG3,4 and 10 have all had this issue.

But I love LG phones and am planing my next purchase. Not a must but does the 20 have a IR blaster so one can remote control a TV or such?

(Praying the 20 does not have the bootloop issue by the time this second G4 bites the dust in the near future.)

It works much better than the G4. I use the Peel app for my t.v. And another app for turning on my Xbox 360 (then the official app to actually run it)

I love LG's smart remote app, it was always my favorite of all the phones that had IR blasters. I've already been using the IR blaster a tin the past few days too

I have the ATT version and the LG Smart Remote seems to be missing. I am coming from the V10 and with it you accessed it from the shade when yo swiped down. Am I missing something or is the LG Smart Remote app not on the ATT variant?

I'm also with AT&T and I believe what you're looking for is in Apps called QuickRemote ?!

I actually prefer the Peel remote app since it has a built in tv guide listing. It's not the greatest, but it's the only one I know of worth a guide, so may be worth looking into if AT&T removed the LG app.

EDIT: I just realized this isn't the IR Blaster thread I thought it was and that I'd already mentioned Peel in this one. Oops. XD
