I am having a ton of issues trying to get the IRIS scanner to work. I have tried several times to get it to register my eyes, but it gets stuck at 50% and errors out. Any suggestions?

Be sure you're indoors, normal indoor lighting, not wearing glasses or contacts, eyes wide open and properly positioned. If it still doesn't work, try temporarily registering a friend's irises to see if yours are especially challenging for the phone. If you can't register anyone's irises, it must be defective.

Finally got it to work. Had to find the perfect room in my house w/ the right lighting to do it. Setup was very quick, now works great. Much better then face recognition I think.

After setting it up, I can use it in the dark and with or without readers. Haven't had it fail yet.

I just set mine up. I the one thing I dont like is you still have to use the home button then look at it then it will unlock. Is that the only way it can work? I don't recall the Note 7 working that way.

Well of course you have to hit the home button first. If you want one button open phone then use the finger scanner. The iPhone X is know different you'll have to swipe then look at the camera . Not a third world issue

Note 7 still need to swipe after pressing home/power button then it will scan, Note 8 is better
