Is 2.2 worth it?

maybe it will be later when its officially released, but right now whats the big gain other then the flash? im not really liking all the workarounds that i need to have just to get basic functions to work. Kinda reminds me of my blackberry days.

the wifi problems, 3g problems. market problems. im goin back to 2.1 and waiting for an official 2.2 release. it was good to test out and it runs smooth for the first few days, then it just gets too buggy. my wifi turns off with a regular basis now.

so hopefully verizon can come out with its official 2.2 so our devs can have a proper working 2.2 to build their roms around.

back to 2.1 i go. yall have fun with 2.2

I'm running latest BB flawlessly with my processor running @ 1.2 GHz. Couldn't imagine going back after experiencing all the benefits BESIDES Flash! UI enhancements, speed, features, ease of use...

What problems? I downloaded p3droid's second release. I also got the 1.2 kernal from that release. It is stable, no FC yet, wifi works, everything works. Put Team Chaos Red Theme over it and use Launcher Pro. Works probably better than anything post 2.2 I tried, and I used a bunch.

The thing is this, the Quadrant benchmarks show my 2.2 setup running into the mid 1600's. The very fastest I ever had was with Bugless Beast 1.1 in the 2.1 ROM's which ran at about 650. That is a difference you don't need a benchmark test to tell how much faster everything works.

Just ran my quadrants for the first time for grins and got 1440 OC'd @ 1200mhz. Never ran my stock or 2.1, but judging by the fact that my score puts me above everything else on that little chart........ I'd say 2.2 is most def. worth it, lol.

i really dont see much speed change from my 2.1 overclocked at 1ghz then 2.2.. guess my phone isnt liking it i guess. no big deal. id rather have my market working correctly able to install all my updates correctly i guess.

updated my N1 with latest leaked version of froyo. It's amazingly fast than it's previous build. Browser is crazy fast. I think 2.2 is worth.

Worth is always subjective -- regardless of topic. IMO, yes. If I had your experience I'd probably say no.

2.2 is definitely worth it. The bluetooth voice dialing finally working is worth the price of admission (especially for those in mandatory hands-free states). All the other stuff rocks as well.
