Is a factory reset necessary?

The performance on my Razr has been fine but the battery life is slightly poorer but I get the feeling that there will be a new update to fix it.

So is a factory reset really necessary?

Also, what's the chances of the Maxx getting Jellybean?

And I heard that the data widget might be discontinued, is that true?

No, but I'm sure a Verizon Rep will say yes. I have not done any factory reset... and my battery life has settled down... I'll admit my battery life did not look as good the first week or so, but it's just about back to normal now... but I was also on the Soak Test and have had ICS for about 2 weeks now.

And I've also started checking what apps are still running on my device by long holding the Home button and closing those that I'm not using... at least with the new task manager you don't see things that you should not close anymore. :D

It's already been discussed in a separate thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/droid-razr-maxx/186344-does-anyone-know-eta-jb.html

I heard the same thing... and have logged into My Verizon Mobile app over and over again to see if it would disappear, but it has not. It's still there, so why worry about it.

If it's working fine, I'd leave it be. But, mine wasn't...reception was REALLLLY bad and the battery was quick to drain. The reset fixed mine nicely.
And, it was good to start all over and sort of rearrange things.
