Is Android Central HTC centric?

It may just be me but I've noticed that there are an abundance of stories/reviews of HTC phones on the main Android Central site. I hardly ever see anything about Motorola phones in general or the Atrix specifically. Are there advertising dollars at work here?

There just happens to be more info coming out right now about HTC phones. When moto starts releasing info about there new devices you'll see it also. AC is all about Android, not just HTC.

I see plenty of releases about various Motorola phones under the Droid brand. Actually, more than being HTC centric, I'd say they seem to be Verizon biased. That probably has more to do with AT&T's anemic pace of releasing new devices than actual bias.

I can validate that statement. I just switched to the Atrix a few weeks ago after having an iphone and mainly blackberry's in the past. Simple fact is, i've been with AT&T since I first began using a cell phone in college 10-12 years ago and I just really didn't know much about the Android base and I also thought it was primarily a Verizon thing until I found forums like this. The Samsung Galaxy phone released last year was the first time I really considered an Android or really even looked at one. When the Atrix came out in Feb. I was really interested but still scared to make the jump before doing alot of research and as I said I really think that comes down to the lack of quality Android phones on the network until recently.

Must say so far I really like the platform, much better than IOS and Blackberry, which I did like both, but the Android so far has been a perfect mix of power, speed, productiveness, and fun.

Not being able to side load apps has left a badtast in everyone mouth. That and the lack of new devices. I think we are going see at&t step up there android game in 2012. To be able to keep up with the market and the undying popularity of the android os.

Most tech blog only focus on new and leaked devices. This is not a bad thing. And there are new phones coming out every week on Android, this makes it very hard to keep up or to give detailed review on how the device held up a few months later.
