Is anybody else having a problem with always on mode on a Zenwatch?

My watch will display the always on watch face for about a second before going black. When I emails ASUS support they told me it was most likely a firmware issue but if that's the case I would expect to see others with the same issue.
Can anybody who has a Zenwatch confirm if it's working for you?

Thanks for any replys.

Not a firmware issue, works fine for others. Do a reset and then resynch from phone.

Thanks for the reply, I've tried resetting it twice, including uninstalling all Android Wear apps and uninstalling and reinstalling the AW app on my phone but it still does the same thing. Maybe I have a faulty unit then.

Mine works although once I accidentally had it in 'theatre' mode, which does exactly that (blanks the screen). (it's in the wear menu on the watch ).. Just double check that it's not in that mode.

Ah I was about to reply to tell you you're not alone but we were both talking about this on another forum.

Just to let others know, you're not alone, it's an issue on mine as well and it seems to maybe affect those sold in the UK, maybe a batch or something.

I have have also emailed ASUS to add more urgency to fixing this if it's a firmware issue that they can mend.

Hi,
Ultimately I ended up getting a replacement unit, after a long argument with the retailer which involved me buying another one and getting a refund for the first unit.
I would imagine yours is still covered under the manufactures warranty so I would recommend trying to get replacement if you can.
It's also somewhat of a concern that it's happened to yours after a while rather that a manufacturing issue which was the conclusion I came to for mine.
