Is anybody having issues with connecting to Mac?

My S2 after a year just stopped connecting to any computers. When I got the S4 I was thinking yes I can connect to my Mac with USB for faster file transfers. But it keeps saying my device is not connected (and yes I downloaded the software to transfer files to/from a Mac). Is anybody else having this problem?

Had the same problem on my mac. Luckily I just got a new mac and it works...

Works on my mac. But you can also use various cloud storage options to move data around. I have dropbox, skydrive and google drive all on my phone and mac.

yes bro having the same problem.. its showing th same error again and again... Reconnect or restart the device... i have downloaded th file transfer file frm android.com but still unable to connect to my mac... can u help me in that... my number is 9820542949 thnxs..

I had same problem. Air Droid is a solid work around you should try. Works flawlessly for me.

If you are trying to connect using Android File Transfer application and have Samsung Kies installed on your Mac it will not recognize your phone. Under these conditions uninstall Kies, open the dmg file you downloaded to install Kies and use the uninstaller found there. After Kies is gone Android File Transfer will recognize your phone connection.
