Is anyone successfully using the EDGE portion of their phone?

So, I have the S6 edge phone and love the way it looks. Is it me or I am not seeing or figuring out how the EDGE works? Thanks.

Ah, great question. OK here we go: I really do like the nightclock and like that it's on the edge so I can see it on my night stand without sitting up. I also really like might five favorites on the edge for purposes of dialing. I have tried to get into the habit of using it for texting them, but I just seems to be easier to go to stock messaging. I ended up turning off the notifications feature, as it worked only occassionally and when it did, it's just a duplicate notification as you still get the regular lock-screen notification, so what's the point? Turned off the lighting when face down thing too. Why in god's name would I put this phone face down on it's screen? Never gunna happen. I think the "checking notification from the edge when the screen is off" thing might come in handy, for example in a movie theater (what if it's the babysitter?) but I haven't really used that one yet.

So in conclusion, most of it is gimmicky and stupid, but a couple things I really do like.

Oh, just saw your actual question in your post: Under settings, there is "Edge settings". You can't miss it. The phone comes set up with it as one of the "quick settings" at the very top of settings. Have fun with it!
