I also need more information here, but based only on the spec listed for dashcharge, it looks like it fits within the current allowed for USB C (max 20V/5A). It does NOT seem to be utilizing the PD spec though, so unless I'm wrong about that, the Nexus 6P charging tech is better. Since they didn't choose to rewire things and implement QC 3.0, we're probably not going to see the "this can burn down your house" article, but the notation above about it being a USB 2.0 spec is cause for alarm. I am assuming they're talking about the data speed, because I think USB 2.0 has a max output of 1.8A and they specify 5V/4A, which is over double the current supported by USB 2.0. The giveaway that they broke something though is that the 5V/3A Nexus charger doesn't trigger fast charging on the OnePlus.
