Is Facebook bloatware on EVO 4G

I can't uninstall it. Has anybody been able to remove Facebook and Facebook for HTC Sense without Root?

nope all of the preloaded apps are locked in the system folder u cant remove them unless u root

I love how in todays day and age we can "own" objects we have no control over.
And its actually now becoming illegal for us to alter...

I just found a damn 9.99 month charge on my bill for some ridiculous facebook "service" which apparently CANT BE REMOVED from "my" phone.

When are our lawyers going to start working these cases and stop chasing ambulances all day???

I'm not familiar with any $9.99 monthly "Facebook" service charge. There's a $10/month "premium data charge," but that's all I can think of night now.

Did you recently do any questionaires or pole or games or anything where they ask you for a mobile mumber or carrier or anything like that? That had happened to me once with Facebook and I was getting an additonal $14.95 charge on my bill. I immediately called Sprint to find out what it was and it turns out it was type of 3rd party service. If that's the case tell Sprint that you never authorized it and have them put a block on 3rd party services and texts. They will do this and you will not be charged. Good luck.
