Is going off of unlimited to edge worth it?

I don't think edge is a rip off honesty I like it, its just a way to finance a phone with an option to trade up if you want. . Especially now that your getting a discount on your phone plan if you use edge now. What that's basically doing is covering at least a portion of the subsidy that's built into Verizon pricing structure.

Agreed. It's a bit better now, and, as with a lot of things, it has the potential to be a rip-off if you don't plan things out correctly. However, for some people, it can be a good option, even if you upgrade your device after 50%. Just depends.

Also I have an HTC Rezound and the sim card is a different size than in the newer phones......is that a problem?

There are still success stories in the thread so it should work fine.

As for your SIM card issue, you could grab a SIM card cutter for around $10 on Amazon, or you could download a simple template to print out and then line it up with your card to cut it yourself with a razor or similar.

Or some people have just requested a new SIM from Verizon.

And there is no way for them to know about that? Best buy doesn't report that you upgraded? doesnt the sim change trigger the bump off of unlimited, so getting a new one from verizon do that?

Sorry for all the questions. I mean I really have no issue paying full price for the phone, especially since I can do the device payment plan. Though what would really be annoying is that if i in fact did pay full price...used a new sim and still got bumped off of unlimited.

I am on the edge program. I also think someday there will no longer be subsidy pricing. Other countries don't offer it. The edge works for me and extra discount helps along with my corporate discount.
