Is it Android 11 or Blackview?

I've recently upgraded with a new Blackview BV8800 rugged phone and I'm really impressed.

One thing that is very different is that I can only use one ringtone, I can't assign different ringtones to each contact or for with sim.

Is this a limitation of Android 11 or have Blackview made some changes to the OS?

Welcome to Android Central! That's probably a Blackview thing. Where are you looking? Are you opening the Contacts app, selecting a contact, and tapping the 3-dot menu button to look for a Set Ringtone option?

Can you download another contact app like Google or is it default?

Yes, I'm tapping the 3 dots, change the ringtone but this also changes the ringtone for everything

It sounds like Blackview may have messed up how they implemented that feature. You could try installing the Google Contacts app instead, as mustang7757 suggested, and send feedback to Blackview about this problem.
