I've been perusing the forums so if this has come up feel free to point me in the right direction...

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with what to use when. For example, I'm firmly in the Google ecosystem (Gmail, calendar, reminders, Keep, etc.). But now with Samsung I have "reminders" and I don't even understand where they live. In other words if I set one up via Samsung Reminders and were to (God forbid) lose my phone, how would I see what my reminders were before I lost the phone?

I had started using Google Keep (pre-Note 7 which I had for a month or so before the debacle) for stuff in a note type fashion or checklist.

Now I have SNotes (NOT Samsung Notes) and I can set up a reminder via that (action memo).

With Google reminders they show up on my calendar but none of these others do. Where I'm going with this is how does one decide what to use when? Is anyone out there a bit concerned about getting too far in with Samsung's ecosystem and if you find yourself wanting to switch phone brands in the future, how would you go about ensuring you don't lose important information you had in Samsung Notes or SNotes?

Also, does Samsung Notes give me anything beneficial over SNotes other than screen on memo (displays on Always On for 10 minutes then saves to Samsung Notes)? I just feel a bit confused and overwhelmed. I just want to get into a groove and am wondering how you are using Sasmung's ecosystem vs.Google's and what the repercussions would be should you ever leave Samsung. I don't think Google is going anywhere...but it seems being in Samsung's ecosystem means relying on Samsung HARDWARE. Google is about software.

I hope my babbling and ultimate question(s) are making sense. Any feedback is appreciated.

I understand what your saying the note have too many options but thats great about the note also you can custom to what you want and most of the time it works i just wish samsaug is more persistent on making the apps work better than just put it out there and whatever happens happen
