Is it me or am I the only who misses features of old?

So, as Per the title, there is one feature I actually miss that comes to mind quite frequently and unfortunately iOS now has it, and thats having an image behind your text screen. Yes I know you can put an image behind the key board but I don't think it looks all that good. So with that said let's reminisce on what quirks and features in customization we miss that made our phones a reflection of our personalities.

I miss the LED notification light (and the apps to customize it) ... Could look at the phone from across the room and tell what app it was and whether or not you wanted to take action.
(Yeah, I know ... We now have AOD but depending on the manufacturer and how it's implemented, it's not even visible from and a distance let alone trying to make out the tiny icon)

Dude! I totally forgot about this feature! This was definitely a nice feature and kind of brag worthy, I remember getting notifications and glancing at work and an iOS use going your not gonna check that? I'm like no it's important. How do you know? Oh it's simply not the right color.

Right?! It was so clutch! And I forget the name of the app that used to let you change the colors and the flash rates, but it opened up a whole other level!! I remember I used to use the color red for Gmail notifications and also for missed calls, but I would change the flash rate for missed calls so I knew which one was which ... good times LOL

I never had a note, but this sounds rad! Kinda like making your own post card! The ultra lime was supposed to be the successor to the note hence the continued S-pen support, clearly we've lost some of the those really cool features!

Ah the IR blaster! I still have a Note 3 around that I use just for that. Had to replace the battery recently, but other then that it's still working.

Speaking of battery replacement, that's another feature I miss. Replaceable batteries!

Yeah I miss the faux leather removable backs. Pop it off, replace the battery and u good for another few years. Phones seemed more durable.

I agree! This whole "glass is premium" trend is silly. Give me a high end plastic phone all day everyday!

I don't think I used a case until Note 7 or 8.

I also miss when you'd get codes to get name brand cases from Amazon for like $2. It wasn't even THAT long ago

I actually accomplish this with my hearing aids connected to my phone and app notification sounds. Based on the sound (that only I can hear), I know whether it's something important, or it can wait.

I had the LG G4 and I loved the form factor of that phone. I have the black leather back and a spare battery. Unfortunately it suffered the dreaded boot loop feature. At the time I wanted the V50 or 60 but settled for the G6 and then went to the S9.

I really miss rooting because I don't need to do it anymore since the phones are so good but back then it was a must for me to get the most out of the phone... The constant loading up new ROM s and tweaks.. I miss HTC. There was always something about their phones
