Is it ok to keep different ROMS on the SD card?

Paul,

Thank you! Another question if you don't mind, I would like to clean up my SD card, can I just reformat it, saving to my PC anything i would like to keep, ie: ROMS, Boot animations, Ti backup license etc? I guess what I'm asking, is anything IMPORTANT that I must save?

Thats fine too... Just do a complete backup of your sdcard to your computer first. Then format the card and then you can pick and choose what you want to restore back to the card.

The folders that are most important are

- clockworkmod (that is your clockworkmod if your rooted which you are)

- Bonsai backup folder/midNIGHT/ACS Syndicate (any ROMs you have ran which do the Auto backup and restore during the installation )

- Any apps to sd card which you might have installed.

- Titanium Backup and MyBackup Root also place folders on your SDCARD for their stored information.

- DCIM (all your camera photos, gallery, etc...)

- downloads (this is from the stock browser)

Best thing to do is take a look inside each folder on your sdcard and figure out what is in there. Then you will know what you want to move back to your sdcard after you format it.

Much appreciated!

A quick tip to tracking down what some folders are.. Some of the apps you use, the developers use the companies name like for example "Android" is by Google, so the folder might be named Google or an abbreviation of it... They can be tricky at times to figure out....

Can I delete a rom zip from my sd once I've flashed it?

I always wondered that.

Yes you can, but you should always leave the ROM.zip that you are currently running because there will be times you need to flash the ROM again because something goes wrong. In that situation its already on your sdcard and you can wipe and flash.. This really helps if your away from home/computer and mobile and need your phone functioning...

The small amount of space that a ROM takes up will not make even a small dent in your SD card space.
