Currently running CM7 RC2 and there is only one thing that i really miss from stock OS.... I really want to have the sprint visual voicemail app that came with the phone stock. Is it possible to do this and if so where do i get the apk to install it? thanks for the help!!!

P.S. really dont want to use aftermarket apps for visual voicemail that require you to forward your calls to their servers, thx again

I restored it with Titanium Backup. Works fine but I get the text message. Blacklisting that in Handcent is fine with me.

i backed up my apps with titanium as well, but it did not back up the visual voicemail app.... due to my phone just being replaced under warranty, being foolish when i got the new phone i rooted it and then just restored the nandroid i created reight before unrooting and flashing stock back. when i did that it changed my MDN and MSID # so that my phone did not work properly and i could not make or receive calls.... sadly for me i did not create a nandroid of the new phone before doing this so after restoring everything i was forced to flash the stock interface back from my previous phone and get on the phone with sprint and get that information reprogrammed into the phone..... needless to say, for me to revert to stock and attempt to back that app up its a incredible pain unless someone knows how to edit the msid and what not again (forgot to write down the code, i know it was ##341 something # to get in the edit mode) .... does anyone have the APK or know where i can get it or another way around these noobish mistakes i made???

WOW....i cant say that i have an answer for that one...but thats a BIGGY...LOL....damn i didnt even know u can get that info erased by accident.....good luck man...i hope u get a fix soon, cause i'd be freaking out

Why not just use Google Voice? It's free, does the same transcribing (if you're paying for that) and has a widget to display the inbox right on your home screen.

You just need the Sprint voicemail apk, ill hunt it down for you.

On CM7 the data to VM is important part to back up from Sense. If you back up Visual Voicemail from Sense, load back into CM7, and install the visual voicemail apk, you then go into Titanium and restore only the data. I did this last night and it worked well. The visual voicemail apk alone won't work on cm7, you have to have that data also.
