Hi, a friend of mine asked me to take his phone to the service. His screen is shattered, but the LCD seems to be fine. I read on the internet that if the LCD is not damaged, then you can just change the touchscreen (digitizer) and you are good to go. But the guy at the service center told me that in this model the digitizer can't be changed solely, but the whole screen (digitizer+LCD) has to be replaced, which costs 3 times more than the sole digitizer. Is this true or am I getting spoofed here? Because I saw many mobile parts websites in which the digitizer is being sold solely, what is the point in that if you can't change it but need the LCD on it?
