Is it possible to have your phone OS downgraded without you initiating it
Last Friday while documenting a laundry list of problems I noted that the version of Android I was running was the "I" variety of 5.1 (On Nexus 5 - Honeycomb-LMY47I). At that point, anything streaming audio or video would not work. Now today I try the turn off LTE (prefer 3G) and it starts working? Ok. So I went and looked at the version number in About Phone and this time it was on "D" (LMY47D).
Is it possible for a downgrade to be pushed to a phone from google? I have a stock Nexus 5 bought direct from google. I have been sending in "device reports" from the phone whenever something restarted (including the phone itself) or I had an app crash.
So I am left wondering, could Google have pushed a silent downgrade to my phone?
