Is it possible to listen to the music on my galaxy 8+ in my 2016 Nissan pathfinder with no gps?

I can't get my music to play in my 2016 Nissan pathfinder, it connects via bluetooth and makes and recieved calls, plays music from an apple device, but when I try to play music from my phone it says check device.. by the way I have a Samsung s8+.

Check under Bluetooth connected to car that media and calls are enabled ?

Welcome to Android Central! Is this the factory installed car stereo, or an aftermarket head unit? Older car stereos typically require you to change your media input to Bluetooth streaming audio (which that if you have the system set to Bluetooth calling, your music won't play).
