Is it possible to properly migrate from iOS to Android and keep everything sync'd?

Hi guys,

So as the title suggests really.... I'm an Apple 'Fanboy' so to speak and I'm heavily invested in the ecosystem. I currently use an iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad, Apple TV, iPod, Apple Watch, AirPods and an iPhone X.

I use OSX software as lot for work so won't ever be going back to windows, however I'm a bit bored of my iPhone X. Have been looking at the new Pixel XL 2 but the integration between Apple/Google has always put me off.

I know things will never be perfect between the two, but have things improved at all in recent years? Can my contacts, calendar etc be continuously sync'd so that when I say, add an event it is sync'd across all my devices whether it be Apple or Android? what are the draw backs of an Apple user using an Android phone as their daily driver?

Thanks in advance

There's no native sync. You'd have to do a patchwork of different solutions. Apple Music for Android will probably sync with your iTunes library, but I haven't heard too many favorable things about the app, with people complaining it's buggy. Here's how you can sync your iCloud calendar to your Google calendar: https://www.androidauthority.com/how-to-transfer-sync-calendar-iphone-android-340386/

One possible solution would be for you to migrate most everything to Google, since Google services are easily accessible from a Mac and an iPad (in fact, the iOS versions of Google apps are often better than the ones for Android!).
