Is it possible to remove the nlack on white highlights?

I have applied a new theme to my phone but along with it it changes the naming of my apps to be highlighted black on white writing and I was wondering if there is a setting to change this back without having to remove the theme?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? You posted in the original Galaxy Nexus forum, for one of the first ever Nexus phones.

Also, are you using a 3rd party launcher, or the stock launcher for the phone?
