Is it possible to run Samsung stock email from Galaxy S5 on Galaxy S7?

the stock email on my S7 is missing key utilities for me: check box isn't always visible (to select for deletion) - now there is a required 2nd step of long pressing on an email first to show check boses (cumbersome and time wasting), and there is not a setting to eliminate email preview line in main Inbox view (and just see sender and subject - which allows more emails view-able per screen). S5 email was more usable. Is there a way for me to get the email from S5 on the S7 ?Thanks for any help / thoughts !

I had the same question. Found that there are plenty of free EMail apps in the Google play store and the Samsung app store. I found one in the Samsung store that was very close to the old GS5 app.

I then "auditioned" several of the other free email apps, and decided that I like the K-9 Email app (from Google) the best.

Run the App store application. On my phone, its call "Galaxy Apps". You will need to create a Samsung account.
