My old galaxy ace didnt get hot.

Probably not. Whenever my Core Prime gets hot, I blow on it every minute or so.

It's not uncommon for phones to reach that temperature, especially while charging or during intense use.

For example, my battery is currently at 89f while just discharging and surfing the forums...
