Is It Safe/Possible To Charge Two Phones From A Double Adaptor Cable (One Std Micro USB/One Type C)

I have acquired a 'better quality' 2 metre type C charging cable for my wife's LG Nexus 5X. This also has a std micro-USB plug on too. Out of pure curiosity I ask would it be:

A) Possible to charge our two phones simultaneously? ...and most importantly

B) Would it be 100% SAFE to do so?
