Hello, glad to be here, stalked you guys for tech support for a while but this exact question eludes me since it's essentially "What phone is best for me?"
Part 1 (I've more or less decided on this one, but figured I'd provide it as context): I own an LG G3 that's lasted me since June of 2015. After two eight hour car rides in three days I got the first instance of a bug I've now found is common to the LG model; "invalid SIM card". Since the phone already corrupted my SD card a month back I figure that the SIM card slot isn't too long for the world (given that the main solution seems to be keep the phone cool; a cause I gave up on long ago despite giving up phone games). Anyone have a second opinion on this, or am I wise to start planning for the worst?
Part 2: All of that said... I originally bought the G3 when I was young and foolish, doing no research on the phone before I went in and just buying the non-Apple product that had an SD card slot for the most potential storage. I have since rethought my juvenile 21-year old ways and come up with much better criteria for buying a phone; I want something that doesn't lag (I understand that a web page takes a while to load, but I'm not sitting for 30 seconds between news articles), something with a lot of storage space for music (I don't go for anything that requires me to store it off my phone; my data signal isn't nearly reliable enough), and something that is reliable enough to actually last long than the time it takes to pay off (or at least as close as I can get these days...).
Obviously cost is a concern, but I'm at a point in my life now where I'll pay a little more now to acquire a device that will serve me better long term, and even better if it will actually last longterm. That said, if two options are the same all things considered than I'm not about to splurge for splurging's sake either. In addition, so long as it's an Android I'm not too picky on manufacturer, but after the last burn by LG hardware I'm not too trusting of them at this time.
tl;dr: I think my phone's dying but the manufacturer and AT&T both claim there's nothing they can do, and I want something that does a better job of phoning and I'm willing to pay a little more to get it.
