So i've already gone through Samsung's trouble shooting and even done a factory reset looking for a rogue app but at this point i'm purely frustrated. When my Samsung S6 Edge is connected to the charger provided it will over heat sometime and just be really warm other times. Sometimes it'll stop charging all together because an overheat warning. When i first got it It had crashed so I'm starting to think it's the phone and not just me

Also, try a different Cable. Maybe the cable is going bad.

^this.

My stock cable used to run extreeeeemely hot resulting in a more than usual hotness of the phone.

I switched cables. Used an old one which came with my galaxy tab 2.0. It's night and day. It doesn't heat up AT ALL! Neither the phone nor does the charger.

Try it.
