Hello all

I am expecting some abuse from this thread but thought I would ask. If it worth it, do you use it as much as you thought, or regretted getting one.

I am very tempted in one, but want to know if its worth it.

Queue the abuse..... ;-)

Thanks
Dave

no.

before the announcement about it not supporting the new upcoming wifi features I would have said maybe. Now, since that, I'd be tempted to say less so. Its a good watch, and possibly the best looker, but androidwear needed an edge and the wifi features gave it that. Being locked out of that grated for me a little, and to be honest I have just sold mine on. I'd say wait for a price cut if you haven't got one already, if you have got one, if that feature didn't bother you then no change.

Frankly all I really want is a far better access to historical notifications - like a pebble offers. At the moment , once a message is gone, you can't ever see if again.

i just picked one up with the new sale on google play i was originally debating waiting for the next wave of devices which we will probably see this summer after google i/o but i really love it.

I have tried the original g watch and moto 360 and i am not a fan of either yes i do not like the 360 i think i am the only one but the g watch r fits me so well it is nice and big which i am a big guy and the build is really solid. the strap is absolute crap though the 360 has a nice strap once it is broken in but seriously the strap n the g watch r needs to be changed it feels so cheap. but if you want an android wear watch now and like bigger watches the g watch r is worth it.

For my needs, it was worth it. I got mine in November 2014 from a Sprint store as soon as it was availabe. It does what I need an Android Wear device to do - keep perfect network time, counts my steps, and gives me only the notifications I want. Other than that, it is a great-looking fashion accessory and gives me a reason to wear a watch again. Bravo Google and LG.

I've had mine for a few months now and like it for the most part. I really like getting the alerts on my watch instead of having to grab my phone, swiping to unlock and launch the app for what ever the alert was for (email, text, so on). Being able to change and design the watch faces (WatchMaker Premium app) is pretty cool as well. The only negative I have in regards to the watch is it is hard to read in direct sunlight but I hear this is common for most smart watches just like it's hard to read cell phone displays in direct light. I only wear my Watch R for work as it's slim and low profile and fits under the cuff of my work dress shirts, on the weekends I wear my G-Shock that I just got.

Can't find justification for buying one other than a new gadget to play with. Once in awhile ill look at them but never pull the trigger

Moto X 2014

I've had mine for about 6 months now and I'm going to switch to the new Pebble when it's available. I really like this watch, but I like to mess around with the different watch faces. Unfortunately, I can't even get a whole day out of this thing depending on which face I use. It's just not cutting it for my use.
