Im so conflicted right now to buy a new phone and seems like m9 is a good choice, is it still worth to buy it now? Im also consider other phone which is galaxy S6. I really need your opinion now, its a tough choice tbh.

I just got one last week, love it so far. The 6.0 update works well, I'm ending my days of moderate use with about 25% battery left. Its a good size, and gets comments from people when I take it out of my pocket with the dot view case. Because of its lack of hit factor, they are ridiculously cheap online, got mine brand new on ebay with warranty for $260 bucks. Such a great value.

If you don't need SD card support, I reckon the S6 is just as good if not better if you can get it for close to the same price, but I needed that functionality. Otherwise, the camera is not nearly as bad as some have reported, maybe its the updates, maybe its the tweaking of the image settings I did, I also use the raw camera quite a bit,. Selfies are awesome as well. The screen is fine, but I don't like the auto-brightness, it over compensates and I find it dim and washed out in many situations. I leave it on the middle brightness.

Its also on track to get android 7.0, so its not out of date yet (although I imagine that's it for it, no 8.0)

If you don't mind buying an older phone I think it is. For what it's worth the M9 was my first android phone after switching from the 5s and I felt like it was good enough to keep me with android. I still have my M9, but I'm looking at possibly getting the new Nexus this fall. Also, the M9 still has an overheating problem in my experience. It probably won't be noticeable with normal use, but with some games (Pokemon GO) it definitely starts to heat up almost to an uncomfortable level. It doesn't happen THAT often, but it's something to keep in mind.

I have an M9 listed for trade, or sale $250, but I cannot find a worthy device. Thinking about raising my asking price to $300 as I don't really want to get rid of this "spare" phone.
The M9 runs strong, is stable and fast. Was listed as one of the more durable phones at the time. Great pocket size in Otterbox case.
I don't see very many M9 on Craigslist in my area. There are too many Samsung and iphone clones listed to take a chance on those. Also, the Sam S6 was not as durable, or water resistant , and no SD slot.

In my opinion, you cannot do much better than the M9 if you are looking to save some cash buying "last year's phone"

You shouldn't have to pay much more than $250 from a reputable seller.
Craigslist is not reliable, Please be careful and smart if you buy there. Study the ads carefully to find the "real" sellers and devices. Don't bother with any seller that removes their contact info from CL by spelling out their email in the body of the ad, those devices are stolen or clones.

I picked up one less then a month ago when TMO had them on sale for $299 for new ones. I couldnt pass that up. I had one a while back and also had an M8 so i sold the M9. Then later sold the M8 and realized i missed them. So i got another M9 for that stand by back up role.
Im very glad i did. Been playing Pokemon Go on it ever since. I played 2 hours sunday morning in Down Town Dallas and didnt have any issues then went to a mall Monday and again had no issues. I dont feel it heats up any more then my Note 4 or other devices do.
I think its a great device.

I'm also considering a M9. But I'm having a hard time making the decision. I've also been looking into the LG G4 (motherboard failure?) , & HTC A9 (slow processor?). I do know I love Sense UI compared to LG & any other manufacture skins. Also has anyone had premature battery & charging port failure? And has battery life improved since the marshmallow update?

How bout the battery and the , does it improved after the update? I've heard quite a complaint about it or it just an exaggeration from the users?

Ask 2 people, get 2 different responses.
Battery life is best left to the user to experience. You and I use our phones in completely different ways.
Being prepared to charge on the go, I almost never need to.

Sorry if i dont contribute to this thread. but i just need to know if the EIS works good while recording video on this device ?

I have had one for several months and hate it - the screens are just so unintuitive and difficult to manage. You can't turn off predictive text on the keyboard; you can't get rid of the rubbishy apps it comes with; the camera is awful in poor light or high contrast; e-mails delete themselves; alerts keep popping up and won't be turned off. BUT the hardware is good; it's fairly unbreakable - I have chucked mine across the room in frustration - whereas apple screens break as soon as you look at them. It picks up poor wifi signals better than apple and battery life is good.

I started using my M9 as a daily phone 3 weeks ago vs my Windows Phone 950XL, due to the app I need for work.
Heavy use, aprox 100+ Pics, with GPS location, constantly uploading over cellular, streaming music over BT while I work, with a screen on time of at least 1 1/2 hrs.
Uses my whole battery. If I goto an additional location, I have to use a battery pack.
I have to turn off WiFi while "mobile" as it interferes with both my cellular connection and BT or music playback.(not sure what the conflict is between WiFi and music over BT, but I have the same exact problem with the 950XL, so I don't think is is an OS or hardware issue)

Prior to my current daily use of the "spare" M9, the 950XL was my primary device with little more use than BT music.
I needed the two in order to fulfil my device lust, but I think I am near the end of my "junkie" days as the excitement of what these devices can do now isn't the same as what it was in 2004.
Funny how adding a work element can take all the fun out of my "toys" and hobbies. Honestly, I never had to use a "device" specifically for "work" before.

The other pluses the M9(used $100) has over the 950XL(new $700), is accessories. I get dirty at work, I use an otter box, great feel and size in the hand, but the phone still gets filthy. I am not trashing my "new" 950XL.

Windows phone still rules in voice over BT. Hope Android catches up in that functionality soon.
