Is it worth upgrading to the NEW NVIDIA Shield TV?

So - as an original Shield TV owner I have one quick question: Is it worth upgrading to the new console released in 2017?

No, it's the exact same thing. Get the new controller and accept the OTA update to Nougat; otherwise you already have the new one.

I wouldn't bother unless you were thinking of buying the pro. Both the new versions will have Google assistant but the older shield Tv will not get Google assistant. At least for now.

Actually, the assistant is not available on the new versions of the Shield TV as well. And all devices, new and old are set to get the assistant with a software update coming in a few months time...

But to answer OP's question, you should not buy the new shield tv if you have got the old one. Controller, maybe, if you really want the always on microphone and the improvements in ergonomics on the controller.
