I have asked this in google forums but NASA (Never A Straight Answer).
I currently use THREE different browsers because none of them will do all jobs.
Chrome still say they cannot fix having desktop versions of webpages permanently. Bookmarks are in a text only format with first entered ie favourites at the bottom of the list. In fact, chrome was the last of these browsers to allow video playback!
Puffin has random days when it won't recognise button pushes.
UCBrowser, a former favourite, has so many crashes it's unreal.
I have tried Dolphin, Firefox and others I forget their names in the past.
My question is, will android life always be like this? It's as if every time a browser seems to have got it right they or Android brings out an 'upgrade' and everything goes wrong.
Kitkat was the worst example. I don't think things have ever been right since that was foisted on us.
All the tablets boast of the bells and whistles they come with but none of them seem capable of all the basics. I simply want to browse without pages lagging while they load, or jumping up and down just as I am about to type - we're not in the dial-up era anymore.
Just this second, I went to scroll this page and it skipped to the homepage. It's lucky you have the autosave feature.
I am just getting the money together to go to an ipad or, god forbid, a windows tablet unless someone can convince Android will one day get its act together
HERE'S A PERFECT EXAMPLE: JUST WROTE THIS OUT IN PUFFIN BROWSER, CLICKED TO SUBMIT AND NOTHING HAPPENED. LUCKILY I COPIED THE MESSAGE AND AM NOW IN CHROME BROWSER JUST TO POST THE QUESTION.
