Is lollipop okay for my HTC ONE M7 yet?

I just got my new HTC one m7 back, and it keeps trying to do the update, I am afraid of it breaking again. Is the update safe yet?

That depends on your definition of safe. Do you want an operating system that's full of bugs? Then it's safe. I prefer a working phone with an older operating system.
