Background :
Just bought this baby yesterday. I was told to charge it for some 10 hours so I just left the charger unplugged and went to sleep.
When i was using it this morning , I noticed that the battery was draining fairly fast. I didnt play games (in fact I dont have any games installed on this baby) , I didnt do any fancy stuff. What I did was just browse the internet using chrome and watch a few videos on Youtube. Thats about it. Nothing else. The battery was draining at an uncommon speed. So I killed all the running apps and stopped using it and just let it sleep for an hour in order to see if the battery would drain as fast. As expected , it didnt even go down 1% after an hour of sleeping.
My question is:
Is this normal? Am I supposed to let it sleep all day in order to save the battery? (Which is ridiculous) Why would it drain like runny blood if all i did were mainly just browse and watch Youtube ? I did use Whatsapp but i dont think it would drain my battery like that? Samsung claims that the battery lasts around 11-12 hours watching videos (heavy use??) , while I read on the other website that the battery can easily last through two days of "moderate use". Yet the fact is , the battery is already at 60% after some 6 hours and 32 mins of moderate use (Well , my use is moderate as you can tell.) , is that curve way too steep? I mean come on ! There is no way this baby can "last through two days".
Attached is my battery stat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
