Is my battery ok?

Hey everybody, this is my first post here! I'm not very good with english so don't be mean with me :c

I bought my Note 8 almost a month ago and i noticed that my battery didn't last as much as the same of any other that i read online.

I can reach almost 5 hours of SOT but only if i put some video (Netflix or Youtube) but usually it drain really really fast and i do something like 2-3 hours.

Please i'm going crazy here. :'(

Welcome to Android Central! How's your cell signal during the day? Poor cell signal causes significant battery drain. Install an app like GSam Battery Monitor and see how the cell signal strength is throughout the day. If it's generally medium to low, or if it fluctuates a lot, that's probably a significant factor.

As above but also check if the likes of Facebook etc. is constantly turning on location service, I always found Facebook and its messenger app to be battery vampires

Thanks for your suggestions. When I am at work my signal is weak but at home is strong. I uninstalled the facebook app but i see no difference. I really dont understand! today it last 13 hrs but only 1.53 of SOT.

Is the battery drain curve steeper when you're at work?

No, same drain! if i start to use it heavily i really don't know how fast it could drain!

Facebook is a common cause of battery drain. WhatsApp might be as well. See what happens if you temporarily uninstall one or both of those apps.

Try your phone in Safe Mode.
If it still drains quickly, there it could be because of poor signal strength. It could also be a faulty battery, but if you are getting good SOT on some days,.that can't be. If in safe mode you get good battery life, you will need to find the app that is doing this. The most likely apps are those apps which you added that run all the time in the background, like security apps or bad battery saving apps. If I were to bet, it is probably poor signal reception, brightness set too high, Bluetooth on, or wifi scanning where you haven't connected.

Well, i don't have anything that run in background but WA. I have almost everything disable but i see a strong drain. Look what i've got last day!
