Is my battery temperature too high/an issue for my S6?

A

AC Question

So I just bought my S6 in April from T-Mobile, and I've been having some battery problems. I know that a majority of other people with S6s have battery problems too, but this time I'm inquiring about my battery temperatures. Recently my battery temp has been up to 97 degrees Fahrenheit, and if I'm lucky enough, it can go down to 80 degrees. Is this normal? I'm a casual-heavy user. For example, I usually watch videos on YouTube, play games like Clash of Clans and Mortal Kombat X, and also use social media. Is this expected?

Thanks.

Discharging the battery at 86°F reduces its life by 20%. At 104°F, that goes up to a 40% loss in lifetime. Optimum discharge temperature is 68°F.

The allowable discharge temperature range is –4°F to 140°F, with the lifetime of the battery reduced as you get above 68°F or below about 55°F.

It it normal? 80°F is just a bit higher than most phones operate at. 97°F is too hot to get long life, and with a non-removable battery, lifetime is especially important. (Even if it's only $45 plus shipping and insurance to have the battery replaced, you're without a phone for a while.)
