Is my phone truly hacked?

I currently had the 28.1 virus phony on my phone, I didn't believe it was from porn sites, as I don't visit stuff like that, but I clicked OK, cause I thought I actually had a virus, and downloaded the app. Surely enough, ever since then, my battery has drained exponentially faster (not literally, but figuratively...you get what I'm saying), my phone has been doing resets at odd times, some data is being deleted from time to time...I've tried Safe Mode, a factory reset, nothing seems to work. How can I be sure whether it's just a bad battery issue ( I could believe it, this battery had been used on the charger a lot), or if the virus is still there? Or is there an app that can potentially help? I really need answers on this and would appreciate any help offered.

That's a lesson right there. Never ever click on ANY part of a screen like that as that's a really good way to get malware.
Boot up in safe mode and kill that app dead. If you can...
