Is my S10+ repairable or do I need to replace it?

Android Central Question

I dropped my phone on the corner of a cement sidewalk this morning. The screen is cracked in about ten places. The bottom third or so of the screen is now black and I can't draw the pattern to get into my phone. I can, however, receive calls on the Bluetooth in my car and call out to those I have saved in my phone contacts, but only using Bluetooth.

Will I need a new phone or is there a chance it can be fixed and, if so, would you know an approximate cost?

Depending where you from get a price from ubreakifix or Samsung that way u keep the water resistant, usually around 280.00 glass with digitalizer

Definitely sounds repairable. For the price of some repairs, you might be able to get a decent S10+ for the cost of repairs by a pro, but repairs are certainly feasible.

Not really much more to add except U Break I Fix won't guarantee water resistance after the repair. They say they do their best to restore the device to its previous condition but cannot guarantee that it will maintain its IP rating.

A quick search for screen replacements is showing some prices under $200 but many of the more trusted places show pricing from $210 to $350. Without insurance you might be looking at around $300 at someplace like UBIF. Depending on your finances and ingenuity it might be worth doing yourself to save $100. I mean since they won't guarantee the IP rating all you're paying for is for them to do it.

UBIF is offering a $10 discount if you go to the site to schedule a repair, but it doesn't say what the cost would be...?

Best wishes

I just checked Samsung's website. It is possible to get a new 128 GB S10+ for $275 by trading in an S10+ with a cracked screen.
