Is my s8 plus real?

Alright I know this is a frequently asked question but this is strange. On the battery, Google images, the battery looks like it is long and goes up one side. Well I took back off phone, and the battery is at bottom of phone above charging port and it goes from edge to edge, a 2100mah battery. Even the phone technician said he has never seen that, i have no idea what this phone could be? The guy I got it from gave the imei and it matches to an s8 plus, any ideas would be very helpful

Just curious as to why you took the phone apart to get to the battery in the first place? That couldn't have been a simple task...

That's the thing, it was already halfway off. It was not glass just plastic

I took it off because no charge no bootup

It was simple becuasr upon receiving phone it was already halfway off, and it was plastic not glass. It would not charge or boot up hence the reason for back removal

I bought a similar piece of junk on Amazon of all places.

There were scratch marks around Sim slot, USBC port was backward, would not boot or charge. But Amazon took it back and full credit.

Sounds like the same piece of junkware. A dud.

I'd say it's pretty clear that you've been sold a fake unfortunately. If he sold you it as an S8 Plus I'd be kicking *** and getting my money back. In either order

I only paid 50 bucks for the one, first red flag, but i booted phone up while I was messing with battery so It does work. Display is fenominal and the operating system seems very similar to my buddies s8. If it's a fake, it's a very good one

Some of these Chinese fakes are very good but poorly made. I bought a fake Note 2 from Amazon. Was really annoyed when it broke after a week.

Paying only $50 for an "S8 Plus" should've sent up red flags right away, even if it was a used S8 Plus.

I got scammed like this last year, bought a fake s7 but paid much more than 50 bucks.

If you use craigslist, stay away from it or carry a gun and deal with a loser accordinly.

Download CPU-Z and run it but a 50 dollar s anything is a fake.
