Is S view useful for you?

I've been using the samsung sview case since I got my phone (the second day the phone came out). I don't find S view to be useful.. I can only see my texts but not email. What about you guys?

I'm thinking of buying a normal case so I can see the blinking led notifications since the sview blocks it.

Any advice? Thanks for reading.
