Will there be a Sirius Android App coming to the Google Android Family? Or is there any other way to get Sirius on my HTC Eris??

New to Google Android from Blackberry 2... Never Looked Back!!!!

Between Slacker, Pandora, Droidlive, iheartradio, etc why does anyone need Sirius or XM? My wife and I canceled all our XM accounts after we got our Droid's

Nothing against choice but paying for XM/Sirius just doesn't work for us anymore.

If they (XM/Sirius) make an app for Android like they did for the iPhone and iTouch, that would complete my sweep of devices that my Eris is replacing. I guess it all depends on how many Android phones are out there that would be capable of running it. It already runs Pandora without any problem, so I doubt there would be an issue with the XM/Sirius feed.

So far, my Eris has replaced:
- my home phone
- my ISP/modem (thanks to PDANet)
- my car GPS (thanks to Google Maps)
- my handheld GPS (thanks to My Tracks)
Replacing my XM receiver would finish it all off!

News, live sports, and comedy channels are the big things for me. But I listen to a lot of different styles of music, so it's easier for me to pay for my XM and get all that than try to create several different Pandora stations for example. If it was just music, though - I'd agree with you.

The reason for Sirius is for the exact reason (o2bnclemson) stated. The completion on the Verizon Network...

Out of all the internet stations out there, I have never found one quite as good as Chill on XM. I would to have access to that on my Droid.

Have you tried replicating it with Pandora or Slacker? One of my favorite XM stations was XM Cafe, ch45. I've been able to get a pretty good replica channel on Pandora. Took a while of giving thumbs-up and thumbs-down (mostly down!) but it's a pretty good substitute now.

I did, but I'll try again. Thanks for the idea. It's just weird how almost everything they play on Chill is something I like. I even take pictures of the player in the car so I can remember to download the songs later haha...

If they do make one, my fingers are crossed that it's better then the one for the Iphone. That app would disconnect me all the time. I miss listening to the Ellis Show at work. I know there was a way to use orb to get sirius on your phone but that was on my old blackberry and just involved too much work for what it was. Anyways...

Ugh I use to have Sirius, but since having Pandora all I can say is GOOD RIDDANCE. Their prices are absurd, and I'm sorry but if you call getting the Opie & Anthony show a "perk" then I question your intelligence.

What can I say I love my Sirius and Stern. Since there is no app for Sirius this is what I do..

I run TVersity from my laptop at my house and also run a program called SiriusXMStreamer. With SiriusXMStreamer it keeps my account logged in and creates links to be shared through my TVersity server. I connect to my TVersity server through a web browser on my Eris. You can play the audio stream through the default player but I just downloaded DriodLive lite which works well.
