Is slow charging really that bad for the battery?

Hi people,
I recently bought a magnetic charging cable for my Xperia Z3C.
The thing is, that it charges the phone really slowly. The original micro USB cable charges at least twice as fast as the magnetic one does.

So I was wondering if the slow charging can actually harm my battery in the long term?

Thanks in advance.

Charging at any rate up to the capacity of the battery is fine, unless you get ridiculous. Taking a few months to charge a battery could be letting it self-discharge faster than you're charging it.

As B. Diddy said, charging it too fast is the problem. Anything over 1C (IOW, if it's a 2600mAh battery, charging faster than 2600mA) is dangerous to the life of the battery. See Battery University - How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries

Qi chargers typically charge at about 600-650mA. That's fine. I don't think there's a phone with a battery with less than 650mAh.
