Searching my apps, I entered Presence and found Presence installed. It looks to be a system app by the icon.
However, I am aware of this being a "surveillence app", people use it to turn their "old phones" into security cameras.
It had an installation date of dec 30 1969 which I see a lot on system apps.
Anyone enlighten me on this? I just dont want this thing running through my camera lens all the time etc.
Thanks for the help

Yes, Presence is a preinstalled system app -- it's not the 3rd party Presence app you found with a web search. I'm not exactly sure what it's for, but there is a system component called com.android.service.ims.presence, so I suspect it has to do with instant messaging.

Thank you, much relieved! I do not need to be any more paranoid. Ha
Appreciate the reply.
