I've been on the fence about purchasing this phone as a neighbor of mine has it going for sale really cheap he would I'm just wondering if it's still pretty good phone considering what's out and what's on the horizon

No; unless you absolutely have to have the latest device with a physical keyboard... then yes. Also might depend on what you're using now.

I have a pixel xl that I love but he's wanting to sell it to me for $150 I thought that was a good buy. If anything, just as a backup

just as a dollars number I'd say yes, assuming it's clean ESN, no damage, etc.

Absolutely it is. What's unique about the KEYone is it's a very unique device that really has no competition. For that reason, it's still a great phone in 2018. Furthermore, the KEYone was announced February 2017 and wasn't in our hands until May 2017. So far it's already March 2018 and there is still no word of a KEYone successor, so I wouldn't expect one anytime soon.

Over in CrackBerry, there's some more information about successors to KEYone. The KEYone is still worth getting at current prices and that's for either 3/32 or 4/64 versions.

Yes, it is. I bought one for $292! Coming from Granddaddy Note Edge OG and loving it. I can do all things I did on it without the need for or of root, I gave up rooting.

I own a keyone black edition and it's awesome. Just got it last month, it didn't come out in the US until recently and I would have to say it's definitely worth buying.

and BTW.. I asked this same question in the Crackberry forum.. youre better off over there if you want a more active bb forum.

BlackBerry KEYone still absolutely worth buying in 2018.
The Black Edition is obviously a better buy and you should only get the silver if you prefer that color

Using the BE here and love it. Keyboard shortcuts are the best. if you have the money I'd go Key2 at this point.

If security patches are ending at two years this month.... that makes if a little tougher to suggest a KEYone at this point. Better to get the KEY2 LE.

I still am using my K1 ltd edition and working great.
