Is the camera MOD worth the money?

Just got my Moto z Droid. Was wondering if the camera MOD was worth the almost $300. Looks interesting but pricey. Thanks for any input.

First of all, don't pay $300 for it. It's currently $250 on Amazon, Prime eligible.

Is it worth $250? Depends on how much you value getting decent zoom shots. It has some drawbacks, including a lower MP sensor compared to the sensor built into the Z/Z Force/Z Play. At least in early reviews, the focus was slow. The zoom is noisy, which is heard clearly in videos. However, if you have use for zoomed shots, it will handily beat any of the built in sensors for those zoomed shots. There are other threads on here in the Moto Mod section that will give you an idea of photo quality.

Ultimately "worth it" is up to the person opening their wallet, so that's your call.
