Hi all,
I'm trying to understand the email database.
Here is why I am asking the question.
Our phones came with 2 email apps, one just called email (I'm assuming its from Samsung) and the second is GMail (no surprise, its from Google).
I use email, and pretty much have gotten used to it, even though it is not full featured .
Back to my question.
Do both of these apps read and write to the same database?
I know if we are using IMAP the data is really in the cloud.
But for all those pop clients, are they the same database.
Here is what I want to do: I want to install the powerful email client K9.
And because I'm do so used to the regular email client that I just mentioned.
I want to use K9 for features I need, but normally would like to just continue using plain old email.
If the read and write to the same database, then I could go back and forth between both email clients .
So are they using the same database, and would I be able to switch back and forth?
Thanks!
Rob
