is the Google pixel worth it?

No!! I have had audio issues since day1...this includes very poor quality speakers and the fact the Bluetooth won't connect in my Subaru Outback. At the very least, check the forum to make sure the phone will work with your make and model. The Bluetooth currently only works with certain vehicles.
On the flipside - YES. I have had zero audio or bluetooth issues.

This works for people also not on the T-Mobile One plan as well.

Not for me it doesn't. You have to be on one of the two current T-Mobile monthly plans (One or Simple Choice), not one of their now-discontinued plans. And for me to get the same data allowance as my old plan I'd be paying at least $10 a month more just for a new plan, making the Pixel deal a bit less attractive.

I agree, OP - the price is quite steep. I'd love to go back to Google as my Nexus 5 provided me with an amazing experience; and the Pixel sounds like an all-around fantastic device based on reviews and what I've seen around the forums! If you are concerned about the price, you can always wait for it to go down in price and then snag it later!
