I recall hearing rumors about the nexus 7 being dropped by Asus and the next Nexus 7 tablet being manufactured by LG.
Also, as you recall, the Nexus 4 has been produced by the hardware of LG Optimus G. And this is also why the G2 is rumored to be the precursor to the Nexus 5, and all pictures and leaks seem to prove this to be true.
I'd love an 8 inch tablet, as long as the form factor of the Nexus 7 isn't too greatly compromised- and I believe the form factor can be more or less be retained, as long as the side bezels are cut (like the LG G Pad), although it will naturally be slightly bigger.
This would personally mean I get to read magazines and comics without zooming in, because as of now, I feel that the screen size of my Nexus 7 2012 is missing that 1 inch that would allow me to read without zooming in every page of a magazine. And personally, I'd rather not get a 10 inch tablet to do all those things- i'd rather have 1 light, compact tablet that can do "almost" everything a laptop can.
