Is the Nitro worth getting off contract

I have been saving up to get a HD screen phone. Was thinking about the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus and now the Nitro. I also have the Skyrocket and live in DFW and travel to several LTE areas so I really like the LTE. I am strongly considering the Nitro since it has an HD screen AND LTE.

To those that get this phone, I would appreciate your comments on whether you think the Nitro is worth 600 off contract. Any features that are show stoppers? Not crazy about 4 GB of internal memory but that could be remedied with a 32GB card, unlike the Nexus. Thanks!

I liked this phone but according to the reviews I have seen regarding the battery life, this would not work for me.

I've tried four different nitros. I would say no. It is laggy and the ui is not polished. Now if you know a way around this then I would say go for it.

How have you possibly gone through 4 phones in one week?!?! If you think the ui is laggy, just return the first one and be done with it.

I've spent a couple hours testing four different nitros at three different at&t stores because I had been waiting for it since it was introduced in South Korea.

Aah I gotcha, sorry I misunderstood. If there would be any developer following I think we could remove all the lag, but we'll have to see what happens

I actually went back to an at&t store today that I had been to previously and put Go Launcher on a Nitro that I had previously tried. Go Launcher completely got rid of the lag and turned it into the beast that I knew it should be. It was like night and day. If it weren't for the battery issues I could now consider it the best phone currently available period.

That's exactly what I was wondering too. I was going to try putting ADW Launcher on one, set it to "Fast" and see what would happen. I had a feeling it was the crappy LG skin. The only thing I'm wondering about is any lag in the browser.
I'm going to go to ATT today or tomorrow and test one out with ADW.
This phone has the perfect size and form factor to me and with lag gone will be a definite possibility.

I use mine with ADW and it works great. I have not noticed any real lag.

I just got the LG Nitro and have a question. It appears that when I turn off the Wi-Fi I also drop my 4G connection. Am I missing a setting?
