The One S was an underdog out of the gate, with its big brother One X.
And now there is news of the One X+ coming to T-mobile soon. (even better than the One X). Which will greatly hurt this forum even more. the One S threads are depressing... and non existant already.

I still love the phone... but no community to back it up.
Do you all think this phone is dying away already???
Who has already switch to a different phone?

FWIW I still love my One S. It is just the right size for me and I love the industrial design/materials. Despite the pentile screen, I don't see myself switching to the HOX+ any time soon. But, yeah, I, too, have noticed a dearth of posts. Maybe it's just that there's not really much to complain about? :-D

As with any of these phones they have a shelf life of about 6 months... then replaced with something more robust. That is just the way it is with electronics. We (the consumer) will never be up-to-date on any device. The manufacturers won't allow that to happen... they can't afford to.

As for the One S, it is by far the best smartphone I have ever had. Mine has given me zero problems and it works exactly as advertised. I do believe however it will be even better when it gets the OS update that is due soon and Sense 4.1. The guys at T-Mobile told me we should be getting it sometime in September. And then Jelly Bean not long after that. So in terms of performance the One S will be as good as anything out there. I for one will be holding on to mine for at least another 9 months. Which is a long time for me!

It is simply a great phone no question about it. As far as the Forum goes... it seems tha their was never a lot of activity around the One S anyway, so my feeling is when you need something just ask. Someone is bound to see it and respond. That is the really nice thing about Andriod Central!

Yep. I'd definitely like a Nexus device eventually, depending on who manufacturs it, but if I don't end up liking the HW, I will look into rooting my HOS at some future point cause I loooove this HW.

If HTC is smart they'll make the one x+ like the EVO, but with a removable battery and 2 gigs of ram.

HTC should have made the whole one line like the EVO LTE which is why it's the second best phone behind the galaxy s III.

Welcome to the 2012 edition of the Amaze. HTC and T-mo both are all but abandoning Amaze owners. Many if us are quite  :banghead:.

My wife and I still love the One S!
I'm coming from the HTC Evo 4G...
The camera has been amazing!
Have been a Sense fan since the HTC Hero...
No regrets about the One S...

I don't believe the HTC One series and its EVO variant is by any means dead. Same goes for the SGSIII lineup.. I think these are just fine examples of devices that were really made well with few or very little bugs to complain about.

Support speaking like in the development community, I believe just from talking to friends of these devices they are very pleased with what stock offers and many have rooted their devices but end up keeping them stock simply because stock offers much or all of what they really need.

Just my 2 cents.

I like mine too, it does have a few bugs, but it's a decent phone overall. To me, it is better designed than the One X. A couple of people I work with have One X that I've played with, and I prefer One S over One X.

I am planning on keeping mine until the next Nexus phone comes out.
